what is state space analysis

 state:-

                   it is the group of variables, which summarizes the history of the system in order to predict future values. 

state variable:- 

                                                      the smallest set of variables that determines the state of the system are known as the state variable.

state vector:-

                              it is the vector, which contains the state variables as elements.

advantage of state space:-

1. the analysis is done by considering initial conditions.                                                                                                                                        
2. more accurate than the transfer function.                                                                                  
3. analysis of multi-input and the multi-output system is easy.                                           
4. gives information about controllability.                                                                           
5.    it is applicable to all dynamic systems.   

 the disadvantage of state-space:-

1.  complex techniques.
2. many computation are required.
